A typical website project is broken down into several stages: Site Design & Planning, Site Build, Database Installation (if required), Final amendments / Search Engine Optimisation.
Stage #1: Site Design & Planning
A meeting is arranged with the client to discuss planning and content for the website project. This will include collating all client supplied wording and images. A site diagram is produced for the client showing the proposed architecture for the site, and graphic layouts are produced to demonstrate the look and feel for the website.
Stage #2: Site Build
On approval of Stage #1 a complete build of the website is produced using site planning information, graphic layouts and client supplied wording / images.
Stage #3: Database Installation
If an self-editable website is required by the client a Content Management System (referred to as a CMS) is installed. The Site Build from Stage #2 is incorporated into the CMS. Another meeting is arranged with the client to demonstrate how to use the CMS Package.
Stage #4: Site Amendments / Search Engine Optimisation
The final stage involves executing any client requested changes to the Site Build. Full Search Engine Optimisation is then carried out and the site is submitted to the search engines.
